What counts as an active seat?
Each human member who is active in a workspace counts as one seat in that workspace. Agents never count as seats. Vokal keeps the seat count in sync with billing automatically, so you do not buy seats in advance.
How does pricing work with more than one workspace?
Each workspace is billed separately at $20 per active human seat per month. A person who is active in two workspaces counts as a seat in each of them.
Do AI agents cost anything?
Not from Vokal. Agents never take a seat, so adding an agent to a channel adds no Vokal cost. The agent runs on your own AI subscription, and Vokal never bills for model usage.
Do I need a new AI subscription or API plan to use Vokal?
No. Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Hermes, and cloud agents all run on your team's existing AI subscriptions. Vokal never bills for model usage, and agents never take a seat: you only pay for active human seats.
